Chorover Lab

Our group focuses primarily on biogeochemical processes occurring in soil, sediment and water. Of particular interest are components and processes that influence the form and mobility of metals and organics in the earth’s near-surface environment. Many of the processes we study involve interactions between biotic and abiotic components, such as aqueous solutions, gases, mineral particles and microorganisms. Our research and teaching program is designed to develop a better understanding of how these various components interact at the scale of molecules and particles to influence environmental quality.
